Job Description

Foundry Vineyards is looking to hire an enthusiastic, friendly, and engaging individual to staff private and public events at the Walla Walla tasting room. Teamwork, a sense of humor, and the ability to maintain a positive attitude after a long, late event is vital for success in this position.
The Event Staff provide a high level of customer service and hospitality to our customers, in addition to sharing product knowledge and enthusiasm for Foundry Vineyards wines. In addition to a tasting room, we rent out our space for private events like birthdays, private dinners, rehearsal dinners, weddings, and concerts. Events Associates will be on-site from start to finish with duties such as coordinating with renters, event set-up and break-down, problem-solving, and wine pouring, all with the intention of executing a perfect event. If desired and based on availability, the opportunity to pick up shifts in the tasting room is an option but not required. The ideal candidate LOVES interacting with all kinds of people.​

What you’ll do:

Assist the Event Coordinator with any delegated tasks

Help execute the event's timeline

Set up and break down the venue, including setting up tables, chairs, linens, the bar, moving furniture, washing glassware, emptying trash, mopping, and general cleaning.

Serve beverages at the bar and be available on the floor for assistance

Help coordinate with vendors, including caterers, musicians, and photographers

Accommodate client requests while keeping a positive attitude

Other duties as needed

Prior catering, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus but not required.

A successful candidate will be able to listen, interpret, and execute the supervisor’s requests and goals quickly.

Compensation: ​

$16.75-17.75 per hour plus tips and wine club commissions. (tips range from about $0-12 extra per hour depending on type of event).

Physical Requirements:​

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.

Must be able to effectively stock wine and non-wine merchandise, set up and break down structures, tables, etc., and be able to utilize a dolly cart and other equipment to assist in moving heavy objects.

MAST Alcohol Server’s Permit (obtained within 60 days)
