About the Show
Opening Fall Release Weekend, Foundry Vineyards gallery will have a phenomenal group print-making show featuring artists from the Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts. Crow’s Shadow is based in Pendleton, OR and provides educational, social, and economic opportunities for Native Americans through artistic development. Our show will include prints by Victor Maldonado, Demien DineYazi, James Lavadour, Blair Saxon-Hill, Jeffrey Gibson, Sara Siestreem Modou Dieng, Ryan Pierce, Wendy Red Star, and Marie Watt. The show will be on display at Foundry Vineyards from November 2nd, 2018- Jan 27th, 2019.
ABOUT THE ARTIST

Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts is located on the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Pendleton, Oregon and was founded by influential painter and printmaker James Lavadour (Walla Walla, b. 1951). From the beginning, 25 years ago, Crow’s Shadow’s mission is “to provide a creative conduit for education, social, and economic opportunities for Native Americans through artistic development.” The Institute has grown to be one of the foremost printmaking ateliers in the country.
